get your self some Kodak "digital camera" rechargeable's from wally's they are Nimh and last noticeably longer than the regular Nimh rechargeable's.

You can also go to Radio shack and buy another battery box that once you have them charged and loaded all you have to do is unplug the battery box and replace it with the one with fresh bat's instead of fumbling around with loose bat's.

I get a 36 or so pack of energizers from Home Depot for about $13 out the door. I can go all day and then some on one set.

I just bought an FX3 (came in yesterday). I went to Radio Shack and bought two chargers, each came with four NiMh batteries. $40.00 total.

Note: Just 4 batteries with no charger was $20, so I opted for the "charger pack" for the same price.

I'm goin' with Sony Eneloops for my Fury. They will hold the charge sittin' in the caller or on the shelf better. The NiMH's are great but don't leave them uncharged too long, they will go low just sittin'. If they go totally dead they can't be recharged then you'll be /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angry-smiley-055.gif.
Happened to me once so I got a smart charger that I could leave them in to keep 'em topped off and not be damaged.
Hope this helps!

My Foxpro should be back this week from the repair shop, that was one of my complaints. Get yourself another battery tray, use high quality rechargable batteries, not the Walmart type, but go with Sanyo and get ourself a Multiplex LN5014 charger. The charger will run off 12VDC it provides all the safety features that you will need to protect you batteries, including auto shutdown. Don't waste you time and money on cheap chargers. You have a quality unit that deserves proper care. You may also want to look into the "powerizer", supplier online and get a external battery roughly about the same size that is in the unit. They have a great 4500MAH 12 volt pack that will work fine, or you may choose to go the Lithium Ion route like I did. You will spend a few bucks, but you won't be left in the cold with only a couple of hours or less battery life.

I use a 2.3AH 12V SLA battery from Batteries Plus, carried in the front pouch of the Foxpro carry case, complete with a 10 ft. cord. I have never come close to running it down even with a hard day's hunting from first light to dark. When I get home, the battery charger is already plugged up, and I just pull the wire out of the compartment and plug it in. I have never had it take over 3 hours to recharge. I am using the Foxpro charger that comes with the 8AH 12V battery pack, and have the terminal end on my battery cable matching that.
