I use the 9-13" Harris on my AR. I support the pistol grip on the wedge section of a rear bench bag similar to Ridge Runners wedge idea. The buttstock floats and I dont make much contact with the butt of the gun to the shoulder. Grass height here is an issue too, my upcoming bolt gun will be getting a custom rear bag support that I'll make once it arrives. Again, wedge design for subtle elevaton changes
