What Bipod??

I want to get one of the 13 to 24 inch bipods that swivel,& is light weight.
Anyone have one they currently use & are very happy with or have one to stay away from?

I have done some research into this.

I wanted something that I could switch back and forth between three rifles that I use for calling. I decided on the Stoney Point rapid pivot bipod. I got the extra hardware and switch easily between rifles. There are others that cost more, but for the money, and the fact I can use on multiple rifles, this one was for me.

I got the sitting/kneeling model, but they also make one shorter. I find it works very well for what I use it for!

Good Luck!

I have a versa-pod, sitting kneeling that I love.

It comes with two mounts, so you can switch between guns. I bought a third mount for $10.00. Push the lever switch guns.

It rotates almost 90 degrees, and moves vertically as well.
This is also the standard model, they make a swivel model but I could'nt see needing any more movement than is afforded by the one I have.

If I set up and I can't use it, you push the lever and take it off, no extra weight.

I really appricate the help. I've been using Underwood shooting sticks for some time now & just keep thinking I need a bipod.

I'm looking into the above three, any others I should look at?

Thanks for all the help!

I have two versa pods and love them! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gifMy harris sits in the closet after I bought the first versa pod.

I would have to say--HARRIS---just spend the $$$ and get one that will last forever! They are the best bipod on the market--you won't be disappointed!

I had the Harris long ones, whatever length that was, didn't like 'em. My boy thought they looked cool so he's using my old ones. Bought the Stoney Point shooting sticks and really like those. Also got a great deal in the Bargain Cave on a VersaPod with two rifle attachments. I used that today and will probably use the sticks for Whistle Pigs and Rock Chucks, and the VersaPod for Coyotes.

ncvarhtr,
Good question--the mounting hardward comes with a sling swivel stud. It works great!

+3. The Rapid Pivot is THE stuff. Much quieter than a harris and tall enough to use on a slope. You'll be PLEASED. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
