dont know if this is the best place to post but
i am a bow hunter and as bow season is coming fast so is yote season i like to carry a few extra "varmint" arrows with me for if the deer dont move i can blow on the squaller a few times
so what tips do you use?
thanks
josh

I usually carry my .357Mag handgun, and that's usually what I draw when I see a coyote bowhunting.

Why wouldn't a regular big-game broadhead work on a coyote?

thanks for all the options
i currently use crimson talons on big game

but my buddy just gave me 5 of these small game g5's to try out

i dont have a pistol permit or i would do that plus it is illeagal in ny to carry any firearm while bow hunting

Good old three blade Muzzy 100's! Been around for a long time and still will for a long time! They TCOB!

I've tried experimenting and wondered why I ever did!

Feel sorry for you. We can carry here in VA during bow season if you have a concealed permit.

crowpopper,
The G5s and Judos are great for head shots on rabbits and squirrels, due to their smaller vascular system broadheads aren't as effective.

Groundhogs, coons, feral cats, coyotes, fox and simular sized critters use a razor sharp broadhead. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif Even large diameter mechanicals will work well on these varmints. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm going to try Slick Trick's new Razor Trick, this fall. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif I've used N.A.P. Scorpion XP and Shockwave with good success, but have always used fixed blade cut-on-contact broadheads in the past and want to go back to them.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

i love the crimsons for deer and bear
and have shot one yote with them
mechanicals are illeagal in ny along with ones that have a "barb" the base hase to be 90 degrees or more
gotta love ny
as far as the cromsons they leave an amazing entrance and exit hole for blood

I use the G5 100 grain Strikers and Montecs and the 2 blade Rage expandable broadhead with my Bowtech. I use Magnus 125 grain Stingers and going to try out the Snuffers this year with my recurve.
