I use a deer hide that has been tanned, it is enough to distract them, I just place it over a small bush.
I tried a blue Buggs bunny that I got at Toys Are Us and a coyote ran off with it, reckon that I should not have put the rabbit urine on it.
I lost a white puppet that looked like a baby lamb, also.
I learned to tie down the small ones and have them in plain sight where the coyote can not sneak in and snag them.
