I quit! A little at a time, nearly 5 years ago, took that $1000 I was spending every year on snuff, and bought a Rem. 700 VS in 220 Swift, with a 6-18 AO Leupold. Every time I would get the urge to buy a can of snuff, I would go to the safe, get out the Swift, and stick $5 in a envelope in the safe. It wasn't long before I'd saved up enough to reward myself with a new 700 classic in .223. I can now go hunting with my dipping buddies and just have to grin at myself a little. Oh yeah, I dipped Cope close to 28 years. You can quit! I just cut down a little at a time by telling myself I wouldn't dip from 10:00 A.M. untill 12:00 P.M. Then from 2:00 P.M. untill 4:00 P.M. I got to where it was just 5 dips a day, then 4, then 3, then 2, then none. I just set a goal, no time limit, no pressure. The first year is the hardest, after that, you'll smell snuff (or chew) and wonder how you ever smelled like that. You'll also have a bigger gun collection, and your family won't even get mad!
