The other, day while scouting behind my house,I found an opossum that something had for lunch. It was in a pine thicket so I couldnt find any tracks. The only thing left was the head, tail and the hyde. The spine was still there too. Whatever ate him just ate the "good stuff" and left all of this. He had chew marks on his tail which had blood on it but there was so many chew marks on his tail I wasnt able to see how big the individual bite marks was. I found some cotton tail remains near this same area but all that was left of him was a few piles of fur. I was guessing that a red fox that I had seen during bow season killed the cotton tail but could a fox have killed a full grown opossum?
