What factory 22-250 ammo for 1:14 twist, in Rem VSSF?

What should I be shooting for factory ammo in a remington vssf 22-250. I am pretty sure it has a 1:14 twist. Also, any idea what the differences are between the vssf 1 and 2?

Thanks

It comes down to what factory ammo your rifle is going to shoot the best. Which means your gonna have to buy a few box's.
I have an original VSSF in 223 and it shoots alot of different brands of ammo really well.

If I were you start out with some Winchester Supreme 50 grainers.
Remington Premier Varmint ,,, Hornaday makes some good stuff in 50 and 55 grain.,,, The Winchester (white box ) in a 45 gr hollow point that alot of guys have good luck with.

The only differences in the VSSF and the VSSF 2's were mostly cosmetic, yours has a different stock with a palm swell 2 swivel studs up front.
the metal is polished on the new ones. If yours is brand new i guess yours would have the new Rem trigger as well.

ok thanks...mine is actually the old style. I bought it like 6 or 7 years ago, and had a jewell trigger installed, I am just finally getting around to shoot it. I just want to try what usually works the best, to save alot of headaches.

I am not positive but I believe my buddys 22-250 VSSF II is a 1-12 twist...I'll check on that tonight as its a project gun right now for me. Not sure of the differences between the I and the II but his is a real shooter with 50-55 gr. V-maxs.

Mine likes the 45gr winchester white box also. I have shot sub (.5) 5 shot groups before with that ammo.

i personally have had good luck with hornady factory when i used to shoot factory prob. 50 -55 vmaxs depending on what i was hunting Ron

Mine likes the Winchester 55gr supreme silver tips. Very consistent. Most of the Remington is pretty good to but federal was very unpredictable. HOOVY
