what gun do you carry while trapping?

I have a Ruger 10/22 I have used for yrs, but I applied for a pistol permit in March. Dont have a clue as to what I will use now, I will shop around some!!

17 HMR for dispatching anything caught, also bring 22-250 if I see a something running around while checking traps.

Single six, stainless, I prefer solid 22 mags. My buyer does't care about the hole in the head and I wash off any blood on the fur. Plus a little extra power if I need to do some hunting while checking traps.

Ruger single six with 9 1/2 inch barrel. Ruger 10-22. The rifle stays in the truck most of the time.

i carry a tarus .17hmr, they get the job done for me. you can use any small caliber you want, rifle or pistol.

anyone use a henry survivor takedown rifle
it is 2.5 lbs breaks down and stores in the 16 inche stock in like 30 secs and shoots fairly well also is semi auto with 2 ,9 shot mags with it

Just a thought, but I grew up carring an axe. My gramps would of killed me if there was a whole in the hide. I have always just wacked em over the head with the hamer side of the axe. For a water and land trapper an axe is a must carry item. BB

I carry a Tarus 2" stainless in .22.......... Light, small and easy to pack.
