I did a search with no luck, so sorry if this has been covered. Midway usa told me 2 days ago when I was ordering some bullets that berger went out of business. I also heard that hornady bought them out. I was curious of what you fellas have heard. All the shelves are pretty empty here in colorado. And I just rescently found my favy load which included a berger bullet. [beeep] the luck.

I have heard or read nothing about this. It wouldn't surprise me tho, Walt Berger is getting very old and retirement couldn't be far away. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks , I was thinking he was the still the major stock holder in the company. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I just went to the website and it's up and running fine. I talked to the guys at Sinclair Int. and they didn't know anything about it and they've always seemed to be pretty in tune with stuff.

His grandson is answering posts on one of the reloading forums and there was no indication they intended to go out of business as of yesterday. Matter of fact he hadmentioned introductions of new bullets and a manuel for the near future.

I have too noticed almost not Berger bullets on the shelves like I used to. I recently, las week, got information about loading 40 grain bergers in my 22-250, so they are still there.

I talked to Walt Berger at the shot show on Feb. 5th 2008. He gave me about 100 bullets and 2 hats. You will not find a better guy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

Well, I hope yall are right. I dont know where the fellas get there info at midway, but Im serious, the only bergers around on the shelf here are .17 a couple light .22 and some .284's or something. Made me want to cry.

Berger isn't going anywhere.........except up in price!! A 20% price increase since the first of the year. It's getting stupid!!!

I herd second hand today from a former berger bullet rep, that he talked to someone at Berger and something is definitely going on. They said they werent at liberty to discuss whatever was going on. I guess it could be true. Well just have to see.
