They sell this at cabelas and it looks just like .22 mag ammo. id that what it is?? I think that they are two different cals. are they?

It just threw me for a loop because its loaded with 45 grain bullets. Heres the add:

Bulk CCI .22 WRF Ammunition
This venerable cartridge is still sought after by avid shooters who want to keep their Winchester Model 1890 and 61 rifles in service. The only hollow-point load still available for this cartridge, CCI's version has a .45-grain bullet with a soft copper jacket that shoots better in aging barrels without harming the steel.
With every 500 rounds, you receive a NEW Dry-Storage Box, a $12.99 value. These rugged polymer boxes are lockable and have a heavy-duty latch. Olive Drab color. Measures 14"L x 11-1/2"H x 8"W.

I hope this help shows that im not a complete idiot???

Didn't think that. The winchester 1890 was a pump gun I think. Dont quote me on that. There are some out there and ammo is not common. They must have got a bunch and want to move it. It is a slower round then the WMR if my memory serves me right and the length is shorter. and the diameter is slightly smaller.

Not a problem Gundog. I just happened to get there first with the replies. I am sure there are many others here that could have done as well. I may be a faster rapper than BUKER and RIVER RUNNER. (joke from another thread) Glad I could help. Randy
