Hello, just finishing up my AR build, I picked up a couple 30 RD mags at a gun show to test with, these work perfect.

I ordered a couple 10 round National Magazine clips,,,,these are pos,,,,one kind of works, the other not at all, they both bind, I cant believe I actually spent money for them! I'll at least notify midway about the terrible product they are selling.

So, with all that being said, who makes the best 10 round mag?? I just want something thats well made and works everytime.

(looked at ar-15.com, just mainly 30+ round talk, I just want a good 10 or 20 round mag, I want to make it easy to shoot off bags)

Thanks for your time!!

10 or maybe 20 because I want to use my current bench setup, 30 round mags are just too long., basically screw with my bench height, and my bags,,,,,, just dont work for me,

thanks for the links, I'll check it out!

Use the 20 round magazines from a good supplier.

This is a mag made by NHMTG a military supplier, I have several of this exact mag in both 20 round and 30 round and they function perfectly. Back during the ban I bought a bunch of this brand used GI surplus, they worked great, and since the ban is off I've bought more new ones from this company.

Midway has 20 or 30 round stoners on sale for 9.99. Has anyone used them??

You are probably talking about those AR Stoner mags, no personal experience with their mags, but that brand is mostly cheap knock off stuff, don't waste your money, go with a TRUE mil spec mag from NHMTG like the ones I linked to above.

Hands down the C Products 10/10 magazine. (the first 10 is for the round count and the second 10 is for body size. A 10/20 is a 10 round magazine and 20 round size) Here in California we are limited to 10 round magazines and I have sold thousands of them. Bushmaster used to make the best one when they made the 10/20 magazine with the plastic sealed off bottom. Well they stopped doing that and now make a 10/10 magazine for the same price. The only thing is it is really a C Products 10/10 magazine with a Bushmaster floorplate, but the C Products magazines go for $15 to $18.

Here is a link and I highly recommend them. I have never had a problem with mine and have only heard one customer ever complain about them, but I had my suspicions.

Mention you saw me on PM and I will give you the $15 price no matter how many you order.

Here is what they look like on a rifle. I use them for my coyote calling set up.

I have used the Stoner 20 rounders and they work great for me.
Check out the reviews of other people that used them at midwayusa.com. I like the 20s for everything!

For competitions, I use 20rd and 30rd mags, either Colt or Brownells. I have a couple of DPMS 9rd mags that I usually take to the range for load testing and a couple of Colt 20rd mags for my hunting rifles.

I've gotten into a one of those polycarbonate mags and had feeding issues with. I prefer the metal ones.

Like said, stick with government specs..

Get some USGI mags like Wingman26 suggested from 44mag.com. I use the 20 round mags for hunting & target practice. I have several 30 rounders, but rarely use them. I'll save those for when the SHTF. Ya just never know /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-006.gif

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but which raiser is that. I've been looking for one that would let me use a nose to charging handle hold. And that looks like almost the same scope I have.
