What is the velocity of my .223 with a 60g vmax out of a 14.5" barrel using 25g of benchmark?

My load is 25g of benchmark and I'm shooting it out of a POF with 14.5" with an attached brake. Its the tightest group ive got out of the rifle so far at .4". According to hornadys manual the load is at 3100fps with a 26" barrel. I would assume to minus 30fps per inch? That would take me to approx 2725fps?

NO way of knowing for sure till you clock it, you are probably in the ball park.

Sight it in dead nuts at 100, then shoot 200 and measure the drop. Next compare to a ballistic chart, you will be close with this method...close....

QL shows 25gr Benchmark w/60gr Vmax in a .223 as a nearly 70,000PSI load and even with a 14.5in barrel it's still launching at 2950fps and that's loaded at an OAL of 2.260 and not touching or close to the lands. If you are touching, jamming, or close to touching the rifling with your specific loaded OAL those numbers will go up quite a bit. If your OAL is more than 2.260 but you're still quite a ways from touching the lands, the numbers will go down a little.

Interesting, my QL shows only a usable case capacity of 25.123 when a 60gr Vmax is loaded to a OAL of 2.260 and that bumps all the other numbers up.

i'd subtract some for a gas gun.

I finally got a day off and headed to the range today...negative four degrees with a 10-15mph wind. I spent three hours there...by myself for some reason??? Lol I took my chrony with. The first load 2905, then the rest of the six shots fired were all extremely close... 2842 to 2853. You guys were some good guessers and even in this lovely weather with the wind blowing my first three shot group cloverleafed!
