Large ammunition producers by bulk powder (by the ton, not by the can). Don't waste your time searching for it. The ammunition companies don't use "secret mixes", but they do use bulk powders that do not have a calibrated burning speed.
Even though it is similar to what you get in the local store, it does not have a calibrated burning speed, so each load (in tons) has to be tested and the loading machines adjusted.
One of the companies makes a terrific pistol powder sold in 50 pound containers - they will not even admit to you that they make it, unless you have a class 06 FFL on file with them.
So don't waste your time looking for what they use. You could spend a year looking and if you did find out, it would have a number or name that you never heard of, it would not be in your loading manual, and you would have to buy it by the truck load... and you can't buy it unless you "are in the game".
Go read a loading manual and pick a powder that suits what you need and enjoy.
