i kinda had my mind set on a chrony brand chronograph, but ive just read some hit and miss reviews about them now that ive been looking. cost isnt really an issue here i just wanna get the easiest to use and most reliable kind. i also am unsure what model of shooting chrony to get and which features are actually useable? kinda wouldn't mind geting the best gamma master with the printer. does anyone actually use the printer? or please suggest another brand and model that would be better.

We have a CED M2 that my kid and I use, the cost was around $225. It has a nice large display that keeps track of shot strings and will give you an average FPS at the push of a button. You are able to connect it to a laptop computer, My kid always runs it when we are shooting so I know just enough about it to be dangerous. We have had great luck with this unit and would recommend it to anyone. We looked at the Chrony brand but always heard conflicting reports and a buddy steered us to this one, which we ordered from Midway USA. Good luck on whatever one you choose.----Riflemann

CED M2 here..I went ahead and purchased the IR kit and the battery pack for the IR kit. It is great for those cloudy days or early morning/late afternoon.

well guys after reading more reviews i just finished submitting my order. went with the ced m2, infared kit, battery pack, and case. hope it all works great!

Don't forget a tripod. And you may want to keep a spare 9V battery with you. When the readings start to look a little suspect, try replacing the battery (which may be before the low battery alarm comes up). I have the M2 as well and am pretty pleased with it.

I've had two Shooting Chrony chronographs, and they're decent equipment. Their service is pretty good. The printers are useless gadgetry, though.
