DustI call out on the Olympic penninsula and the cover is very heavy (rainforests). There is a very good chance that I could call a bear or big cat and I feel more comfortable with the 250. I keep it loaded with 75gr "X" bullets. The rifle started out as a 22-250 but I have other 224's that shot better.I also have a Savage 99 TD in 250-3000, great rifles.AWS
