Where can I get some snow camo?

I am not sure where you live but I just bought some last week at Cabela's in Rogers MN and they had quite a supply. I have also heard you can buy white disposable cover ups for painters at any paint supply store real cheap.

Hey Dutchboy,

Did you get teh Cabela's Seclusion 3D snow camo? I have a full shell set and my buddy has just the jacket. I love them. I have hunting 4 times in them this season. I love the full Polyester because it dries real fast after getting wet and we blend in real well in CRP and tall grass. there is a lot of that where I call.

No I am new to this game and went cheap I had a old cover up coat(which kinda sucks actually cabela's fabric) and just got a pair of the all white pants to go with it I had a face mask and gloves already.

If or when I succeed at this game I will upgrade.

Try Sportsmans Guide online - they usually have plenty of military surplus snow camo. I've got a pair of the german snow camo ponchos, and they work just fine. Cheap, too. I got mine for $14 each.

I was at gander maountain over the holidays and they had all there snow camo on sale. Still expensive but it depends on what you want.

Hey there GWN, I got my cover camo through NatGear. Go to NaturalGear.com and I believe you can order it online. I found this a few years ago now all my buddies have it and it works great for us. Good luck.

Go on ebay I just bought a tyvek coverall for 30 bucks. Sure it doesn't look like much up close but it really gets the job done. Not to mention ultralight weight, quiet, and rip/tear resistent.

I like the Ghost Camo better than the Natural Camo. I first saw it when I worked at Sportsman's Warehouse in Fargo last year.

Looking at getting a set of the Snow Ghost oversuit.

I used this as my top

And use these for my bottoms.

I go with a poncho for a top to break up the silhouette you get from your arms with a coat.

I also used extra material to make a cover for my rifle and use vet wrap to hold it on the rifle.

My wife uses the ghost camo to make quspaqs (eskimo for coverup parka). The ghost cammo is great. She modifies them a little bit by making a huge pocket in the front, and lines it with polar fleece which makes it nice for keeping your fingers warm while hunting. She also puts a mesh lining in it to help it breath a bit as the ghost cammo is not very breathable on its own. Here are a few photos of them.

Fishermann, that thing is awesome! You could definitely market that type of setup. Very cool... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

After making that one, she has had 4 requests for her to make them for some of the locals (cup'ig eskimos). with all those little things that make it great I am trying to convince her to start a business. It is really really nice with that fleece lining in the pocket as you put a few handwarmers in there and your hands stay warm, for anyone hunting in below 0 temps this setup is KEY.

my wife has orders for 4 of them from the eskimo village that we live in right now. She is charging 200 bucks here for the locals, so she said she would charge 200 bucks plus shipping to you from alaska. I can tell you that she puts about 14 hours into making one of these, so after the cost of the supplies, she is working for under 8 bucks an hour, but she loves to do it and loves to help out hunters. Let me know if you are interested. To tell you it is also seam sealed so it is completely waterproof. The best part about it is the polar fleece though. I dont know if you have super cold temps where you live, but she just put a wolf ruff on mine which cuts out all the wind. Wolf ruffs are pretty expensive to buy through goldbergs though. I can send you more close up photos tomorrow if you get back to me soon letting me know what kind of photos you want if you want others.

thanks for inquiring
