Where do I get decent deals on brass?

I used to get all my brass on FeeBay, but since eBay is now anti-gun, it's no longer an option for once-fired brass.

What's my next best option? I've looked at the usual online reloading places, but frankly I think their prices are nuts and especially compared to what I used to pay on FeeBay for quantities of 200 to 1000.

I don't particulary care about headstamp and if I have to buy mixed, so be it. If it matters, I'm looking for .243 once fired and I want a quantity of it, not just 50 or 100, so there ought to be somplace I can cut a deal.

Just looked at Scharch and they do not sell .243 win. brass of any kind.

They do have .223 Rem. new and once fired.

I checked a few sights last night and Midway USA has about the best price.

As OT suggested, watch GunBroker. You may not find what you want the first time; however, if you stay with it stuff does show up.

I usually pick up brass at gun shows......
and by the looks of things these days.....
If you wanna play you gotta pay.....
Once at a yard sale I bought about 1000
pcs of .357mag for 10 bucks...root root

Hi,

I've been watching Gunbroker, but so far most of the sellers are priced at or above Midway's prices for new or once fired brass.

I guess I'm looking in all the right places, I'll have to keep at it. As with all reloading supplies these days, it looks like you have to bbuild up your own little stockpile of brass as well.

Keep in mind that if you are buying from an online auction site, (in my experience, and in the experience of others I know) once fired brass is actually "once fired brass" (emphasis on the qotation marks) or brass that has been fired once, by the current owner, after picking it up off the range floor somewhere where is sat after it had been loaded 7 times.

If you want brass with a reliable, known history, buckle down and buy new brass...... or you will have to find a reputable online dealer that actually has once fired brass that has only been fired once. The price diffrence is negligable all things considered.

IMHO of couse.

Other than that, the resources I use for used brass are my local ranges, and other local shooters. Then again, the stuff I am loading with this brass is blasting ammo more than anything else, so the history isn't as important to me. I also have been getting once fired leftovers from the local Sherrif's dept in .40, .223 and .308 by the truckload. Those are my favorite range trips.

A couple months back I seen that Midsouth had new Federal brass pretty cheap, not sure if they had 243 brass or not.
