I need some advice guys. My Rock River 20" AR 15 with night vision scope is getting really heavy to hold when calling. I'm looking for a swivel bipod that extends long enough to shoot from a sitting position. I don't really want to carry shooting sticks. Can someone suggest a good bipod to use? Thanks fellas.

I never thought I would like the shooting sticks either, now all my bipods sit in the safe. I use the sniper sticks on the bolt gun and Polecats on the AR. The sniper sticks were kind of akward with the round float tube on the AR. The Polecats snap on and off and pivot real nice for those running shots. Bipods were always digging into my shoulder when carring even with a extra sling swivel stud.

Give the Polecats a try I think you'll be use to them after the first stand.

Oh yeah the polecats are the Stoney Point rapid pivots. Sometimes I think I'm really losing it!!

Check out your local walmart in the sporting goods dept if they have one. Extra tall bipod, copy of the harris for about $40. Its branded with the winchester tag these days, used to be the stony point brand. I have 4 & they are perfect.

I have a set of Harris 27" bipods. When I am on flat ground they are perfect. But when I am on a hillside they are to short. I now use a set of Vern Howey sticks. They are light weight and strong and work on flat ground or hillsides. They are hard to beat. I don't use the Harris bipods anymore.
