Which Eneloop batteries do I want?

I am fixing to buy some Sanyo Eneloop batteries for my Foxpro and also other items around the house that require batteries. I have read quite a bit on here about batteries and was about to go with Tenergy, but everyone seems to prefer the eneloops. Anyway, do I want the white eneloops or the ones in the Black package that say XX or something like that? Also, what charger should I get without dropping a lot of coin? Thanks.

I like them both, white Eneloops and blue Tenergy's.

To me the Tenergy's last longer.

I don't own this exact charger but mine is very similar and works good:

I would look for one that has a discharge option. Every once in a while I will cycle them in the charger, I beleive this helps with battery longevity.

I brought the Black XX and never looked back. Those things almost never die, they leave the pink bunny in the dust. I got the La Crosse smart charger for them.

I have the white Eneloop. I did a lot of testing with them against the Tenergy and I got twice the time out of the Eneloop.

I couldnt find my notes but did find an old post I made about my testing. I was wrong about the results. The Eneloop and Tenergy were real close with about 6 hours run time. Powerex had about 8 hours run time. I believe it may have bee the energizers from Sams Club that were about half the time. I did have some of them at the time also. I know I had a set that only gave me about 3 hours run time. I went with the eneloop because of the low discharge.
