Which remote lanyard?

I'm getting sick of pulling my foxpro firestorm remote out of my pocket or backpack to set up for a stand... What lanyards are you guys using?

Thanks!

I use the dollar store ones that the kids all use for their car keys, they are about 14"long and have a nice squeeze detach clip at the bottom so you can detach. I also put a small piece of Velcro on the side of the remote and glued a piece on my hunting coat at my left thigh, when things get wild the remote is always right where I need it. This one modification alone helped me take more multiples.. For you Fox Pro guys you want the velro on the side also, that way the back lite shines back at you and not forward.

Holy cow Weever, that is one skinny coyote!!

I picked up a few Plastic Buckles and modified one drop on my FW707 paracord lanyard. Had Jeff tie up a matching strap for my caller with a drop on it for a buckle, and send me a couple feet of matching paracord to attach to the remote. Remote comes off my lanyard, it's buckled to the caller strap so it doesn't get lost. Works great.

Plastic Buckle linked above is 25mm wide, (that is width of strap it will fit), if you go this route you might want to check a ruler and see how big a buckle you want. Don't recall what mine were, but they are pretty small, and would be a challenge for cold gloved hands. Just search "Plastic Buckle" on E-Bay it'll spit out all sorts of results.

I use a custom one made by Tripple B Farms, who sells his gear here. Stop over in the Custom Hunting Accessories forum and I bet you can find someone to build you just what you want.

I just sent him a PM and waiting to here back. Thanks for all the help guys. Seems Jeff and Tripple B Farms make some nice custom lanyards. Excited to get one.

Thanks again!

Haha. That's what they look like sometimes in the middle of July in AZ when it's 111 degrees outside.

Did your girls like the lanyards I made for them a while back?
I'll be glad to make them something else if the ones I sent weren't ok?
It's been a while, but I think I remember special ordering some different colors of cord that you wanted at the time?

Oh, no need for replacements. They were wonderful. A bit on the long side now, but we tucked them up while they're small - should be perfect when they're big enough to get out on their own. Purple is always a big hit, so they were, of course, well loved. The little one (she's six) has a couple nice calls hanging from hers. They're ready to add a few more calls during the Convention next month. Seems like Rick always has some the kids need, and the auction gets the boy's attention. Before long they'll have all their lanyards full and I'll need to get you to make more! We'll probably go with your quick change system next time around so they can rotate.

I think the kids inherited my call/lanyard addiction...
