Which scan light?!

What’s everyone using for a scan light? I’m looking at the night eyes headlamp or the wicked lights scan pro. Any others? I’d prefer a headlamp. Not a huge budget to work with but I want something that’ll last and is quality.

I really like my Wicked Lights Scan Pro. I have used a lot of different lights over the years, but this one is my favorite. Easy to use controls, good long battery life, good beam. I haven't used the Night Eyes, so I can't compare it to that. The Scan Pro is a solid unit though.

I'm looking at the WL Scan Pro as well. I've never night hunted or bought a light, but this one seems to be a decent unit for the price. My only concern is that it looks heavy. Is it? I didn't see anything on the website showing its weight. Was having trouble deciding between a hand held unit or the headlamp, so the weight might be the deciding factor.

I have a Scan Pro and haven’t found it to be heavy at all. I can’t compare it to any other brands since this scanning light has proved to be all that I ever needed.

Thanks Uncle Jimbo. That's the input I wanted to hear.

Well, it isn't light, but don't know that I would call it heavy either. It does have two batteries in the box that goes to the rear and that helps offset the weight to the front. Kind of counter-balances it.

One thing I really like about it is how quickly it is adjustable. On/off and the dimmer are part of the same switch, and intuitive to me. Then rotating the bezel goes from flood to zoom. Both can easily be done one-handed, using the left hand. That works well for me since I am usually holding the remote or a call with my right.

U can see eyes out 400+ easily with the Scan Pro.......the Night Eyes is the best quality but the Scan Pro out performs it for distance and versatility with the adjustable beam.........I have both and have had to return a couple Scan Pros over the on/off switch as its cheap IMO and I would pay more for better quality controls ILO a new light every few years but the Scan Pro is still the one I use.........good luck!!!!!!!

There was a guy on here that used to sell them very cheap. Don't remember his name now but I have one and is very good! Maybe someone else will know if he still exists.

Buy a head lamp, do not scan with your gun !!! It will be money well spent. Don't know the difference between these two lights but I do know nighteyes posts a lot of fur on here, proof his lights work !

Happy hunting!

If you are not sure, purchase both and hunt with them both for a week or so. Do your own comparison and send the one back you don't want. That is the only way you will be truly satisfied with your decision. If you purchase from us and choose to send our light back our policy has always been to not only provide you a full refund but to cover your return shipping costs. This way you are out nothing.

Trying to convince the girlfriend that she wants a scan light for Christmas so I can get a night eyes now. Happy with the scan pro but I've got nothing to compare it to. Also gonna make that DIY scan light

I hear ya, I got my wife an early Christmas gift. I convinced her she needed a Kubota tractor. I am not sure if she likes it or not, I haven't been off it long enough for her to try it yet, lol.

You screwed up Joe, lol. We test drove the Kubota & John Deere. Very rare for me to mow since the John Deere was delivered 3 years ago

By the way I don't see how someone could go wrong trying your lights !!!
