I have been looking at the woodpecker decoys (whirling woodpecker and expidite wounded woodpecker) and can't make a decision on which one to get. So please share your experiences with either.

Thanks in Advance!

I haven't tried the Edge Expedite one (yet), but I have used the Whirling Woodpecker.

I replaced the clip on it with a bigger (stronger) one and like it a lot better. The battery doesn't last long, but that's usually not a problem for me as I always (almost always) have batteries with me. Other than those (minor) complaints, it works well. Definitely convenient to carry around, and for sure it's a good decoy for both cats and coyotes.

The Expedite Wounded Woodpecker is a great decoy. It is made from a very tough plastic. It has two removable wings so it can be used with either one wing or two. It has a strong alligator clip that is big enough to fit around a thumb for clipping it on a tree limb. Plus has a place on its back to tie a fishing line to hang it from a tree limb. It also can be set up on the ground with one wing sticking up, which makes it move like a wounded bird (deadly on all predators). 3 AAA batteries will operate it for hours, plenty of time to bring in those slow moving cats. It also comes with its own carrying bag that makes it easy to carry in the field and it actually looks like a real woodpecker.
