White Oak armament

You will never find a finer AR smith than John @ White Oak. They turn out a fine product, and are VERY nice folks.

Picked up one of his uppers last year in 20pr and I'm looking at another one in 6mm WOA. John is great to deal with. Had alot of ? for him and he was very helpful.

I have read this several times, but could not find where. So I f i'm wrong feel free to correct me.
I believe that John does the smithing on the White Oak Precision WOP guns and has the WOA barrels machined by Frank Green at Compass lake Eng (CLE). Frank chambers Wilson barrels for WOA. It was something to do with with frank being able to turn out more barrels and John could work on the custom Precision stuff. Either way both are as good of AR smiths as there are. I own a CLE gun and it shoots great. I would buy either!

I don't believe that to be the case any longer. Not too long ago, perhaps 2 years, John invested in his own CNC lathe and has since been doing his own profiling and chambering on his WOA line. Prior to that, I think he did exactly what you had said.

Thank you for your kind words. I have never had the pleasure of shaking John's hand, but he is one of the few in the business that I would truly like to meet.

Whiteoak is a top shop! Put out some very accurate well made weapons. The spiral flute that he use to do was about the sweetest looking thing on earth imo!

I own a white oak upper in 223. Has the spiral fluting. Not only a great looking upper its also a great shooter. Get lots of comments on it also. When I ordered it, it came right on the time frame they said. Nice folks!!!

My 20 Practical is from WOA and it is a shooter. I have a 6Rat on order from WOA and getting excited. His uppers are accurate and priced right.

I ordered a 6mm WOA barrel, BCG, and dies from John. The
barrel delivery was in danger of falling out of the promised
window for delivery. John was very busy with up coming
matches and some work as a guest instructor at Trinidad.
I called him, he realized some one there had dropped the ball,
and even in his heavy work load, managed to ship a VERY
accurate, and nicely finished barrel, BCG, and dies.

I always check WOA first when shopping for barrels.

wondering what should I top it off with.

I will throw another "great job" in for WOA.
I have a 18" mid SS match 6.8 from them and it shoots great.
Great fit and finish. It is my first WOA barrel but I'm sure it won't be my last.
