OK So the pup's surgery is paid for, now it's time to go back to focusing on my AR build I lost some funds so I need to try and do it a little cheaper then I first thought so I was looking at model one and their 6.5 sporter in a 20" now will that use 6.5 grendal dies and brass. I've heard guy suggest them to others so those who have built through them how did they turn out?

I have two uppers by them, and both are shooters. With good loads, I can get half an inchor better. 3/4" are pretty normal. One is a 24" H-Bar with a 1-8 twist, and the other is a 20" flutted H-Bar with a 1-9 twist.

I have lost track of the Model One kits and uppers I've built. I have never had a single issue with their parts or kits. One of my favorites is a 20" SS Fluted HBAR upper I got some time ago. Shoots 3/4" +/- consistently.

2 builds by Model one parts here,,,both are shooters,,They have always treated me right,,and went out of their way with one of my builds,,took a loss to take care of me.

I heard bad stuff about M1S on another site, but bought one anyway. I'm still here, and so is the gun. It goes boom, and makes hole representative of the price of ammo I feed it, better than the other platform I have shot the ammo in.

Quote:I heard bad stuff about M1S on another site So did I, from about 8 years ago. Since then, I haven't heard a single complaint that Model One didn't take care of with no hassle.

It's kind of like Olympic Arms and their cast receiver problem, that stuff lingers forever, even when they haven't had a problem in a decade.

But if you find an actual recent complaint, post it here and warn us.

Those ER Shaw barrels they use are pretty darn accurate, considering the price. Outshoot a lot of the "big name" production barrels that cost more.
