You get along fine because we protect your a$$. God forbid you would ever have to protect yourselves! Just saying.........

Aint that the truth!

To protect our children, families, property from little evil pukes like Lanza. May he burn in [beeep]. We are born under the Constitution, much american blood has been shed to protect our God given rights. [beeep] I want a 1000 rounder, it is my right. My safe has a few guns in it. Not one single gun has ever hurt anyone. ThomasR

We should ban all automobiles that run faster than 70 mph, because it is a proven fact that the death rate in auto accidents increases as speed does.
Be careful what you ask for, some of them would have us all wearing matching grey uniforms and riding bicycles...

I am so glad I started this topic I love it!

I hope the new .17 wsm rimfire will be available in a semi and a 100 round mag so I can mow down an entire army of jackrabbits! Those little bot fly, flea, and tick infested devils.... can't have enough fire power for jack!

Why do we need high capacity mags in America? Because weve been fighting for 250 yr.s to preserve our constitutional rights. We are unlike any other country in the world = I respect Canada but dont get confused friend from the great white north = there is no shortage of long, double stacked mags down here, just alot of GREEDY [beeep] hoarding said mags in order to make a 10,000 percent profit after a tragic event. This sickens me but I understand capitalism and how it effects every aspect of our lives. I am a Marine 2/5 and this is just WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do our friends to the north not study human history...our country was founded on the principles that history would not keep repeating itself...a nation of the poeple, by the poeple and for the poeple.

how can you feel safe by making yourself weaker?

how can you let a governing body take rights away in the name of said safety?

Again, it is funny to me that the one's who argue against hi-cap mags are the same one's who say they don't need them or want them... then don't buy them, but it is not for you or your country or my government to tell me that they are not needed...I am not the law breaker.

I'm the NRA. I am an American & have GOD given rights.
I dont have any desire to give away my rights because some other country thinks that I should.
I have nothing against the Canadians until they dont mind their own business.
I hear that good fences make good neighbors.
We have plenty of problems with other nations & beliefs.
The 2nd amendment gaurds all other amendments.

Not sure what better system you think would work here.

Take this last shooting. The goblin didn't do anything legal.

He murdered his mom & stole her guns. Both are crimes.

Not sure if he stole the car or drove his own, but driving with her guns in the car was transporting stolen property, a crime.

At 20, he wasn't old enough to possess a handgun. Each one he possessed was a crime.

Taking guns into the school & murdering people, all crimes.

Do you think if mom only owned 10 round magazines it would have made the slightest difference? I don't.

well said Stu Farish. Crimes are going to be commited no matter what the RULES are. If i cant defend myself then my rights are taken away. I say arm ever legal and able body, Maybe then everyone will think twice before they commit a CRIME. The thought then would cross their mind , Hey that person may be armed.... Ill think twice.

Yeah my nephew encountered it a few weeks back, truck only runs 78 so he couldn't quite get there. Texas likewise just recently opened a stretch up to 80 mph. However, they were all 55 not long ago, do we really need to go 80?

Actually that is incorrect that section of highway is SH130 and I drove it last week and the speed limit is 85MPH.

Well I'm not.
I for one am sick of all the bickering and uninvited opinions on how "Americas" gun laws should be structured from idiots that aren't "American" citizens, and wish the mods would move it to the church so we could get on with "FIREARMS" discussions.

try hunting down by the mexico border. I personally feel a little better using 20 or 30 round mags when doing so, rather than the 8 round mags I use around here.

Human history isn't studied or taught here anymore either. And 99% of the younger generation don't know and could care less what happened a year ago or 200 years ago. Sad.

If you think for a minute Canada is safe because of Canada, you're not very smart. Canada is safe because of the same reason all of North America is safe. The good old USA.

Here in New York the liberal Cuomo is jumping on
the bandwagon and trying to limit us to 7 round mags.
He also is looking to run in 2016

If you are satisfied with that, then good for you.

However, This country was founded on the priniciples of individual freedom, and the power flows from the people to the government, not the other way around. Our founders beleived that people have natural rights, and the Bill of Rights in our Constitution sets out to protect those rights, specifically from the power of the government.

The ownership of firearms is part of our natural right to self defense and self determination. The 2nd Amendment was put into the Bill of Rights because the people had fought to throw off a tyranical government and they wanted to make sure they had the ability to do that again if neccesary. And that's the real reason why limitations you can live with for hunting are completely irrellevant to gun ownership in this country.
