Hevi shot may be hevi but it is not as heavy as lead shot, the lighted front site being "almost" the same hight as the stock bead is also a factor. Lighter individual pellets and a higher sight plane will make your gun pattern high. the choke tube has little or nothing to do with it.IMHO
