Why is a Foxpro remote upgrade so expensive?

Hi fivepaknh,
Actually, it is not old technology. Our latest remote, the TX-5LR utilizes the most up to date technology available. Our older remote, the TX-1, sold for 199.95. These units are not mass produced overseas by the tens of thousands. They are made one by one right here in the USA. To add the remote, we have to disassemble the unit, modify the outer case (drill the antenna hole and the decoy jack hole), reprogram the unit, and then add the receiver board and transmitter.
