Not a predator issue exactly, but due to the CWD found in southern WI all baiting for any reason for deer has been banned. Still legal for bear, as long as it isn't accessible to the deer. Seems to me that will mean more deer, since a large number are shot over bait, hence more coyote bait. What are your thoughts on coyotes taking deer? Do they really put a dent in the population, or is that just an excuse for unsuccessful hunters. There seem to be a large population of coyotes right now here in Northern WI - I hear them in my fields and ravines almost every night. Oh, that reminds me, if you are in the area I'd be glad to take you out for a hunt. I'm still learning, but I've got the yotes if you've got the experience. E-mail me if you're interested.
