Hey Guys!

Just wanted to post a link to my review of the Wicked Lights Scan Pro. I enjoy reviewing things I am interested in and helping others. Hopefully it will help someone looking for a new light.

Thanks for watching.

What distance were you testing the light I. The video?

Thanks!

That was out to about 130 yards, maybe 150 yards.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Nice review, thanks for sharing. I've got the W430ic and ScanPro combo coming in the mail. Ordered it yesterday and then seen your post today. I haven't heard a bad thing about any of the Wicked Lights products.

How tight or how much friction is there on the rehostat and zoom adustments? Does the light shift around on your head when you adjust settings? Do you have to wear it tight on your head? How heavy is the unit with batteries compared to similar headlights? Can you wear it with a ball cap or does that interfere with the way the light sits on your head, meaning does the hollow space up front on some ball caps allow the light to shift/flop around when adjusting the rheostat etc? What practical use does a zoom light have on a scanning light, isn't the point to have a wide broad beam for scanning?

Its easy to turn but sturdy at the same time. I would say that the light twists just slightly from the torque when on your head but nothing that is a big deal.

I only have the small cheap headlamps and no other ones that are true scanning headlamps to compare weight differences. I really don't notice that this is on my head after I have put it on and am out in the field for a while. Very comfortable.

You can wear it with a hat. I only tried that inside and definitely would prefer to not hunt with it over a hat. I like wearing it over the top of a beanie.

The adjustable beam is extremely handy. Up close and sets where you can't scan out too far it is nice to dial it back and have the flood or wide beam. When I hunt wide open fields, you have to zoom it all the way in and make the beam tight so you can see the eyes and max distances. You wouldn't be able to do this if it was just a fixed wide beam.
