Wild hogs...predators?

Do you consider wild hogs to be predators?
Most of them can be called with baby pig squeeler calls.

What's your opinion?
Thank you, Bowhunter57

Absolutely wild hogs are predators. Although I dont think that they catch grown prey animals, their noses allow them to find eggs of ground nesting birds and I dont doubt that they will eat young of any sort if they can find/catch it.

Kind of interesting... When I worked in animal control, we picked up a feral hog one year, of course we threw it in with the rest of our "barnyard" animals consisting of goats, sheep, a donkey, several rabbits, chickens etc... The first day we put him in, he just laid in one spot, stressed out, then he snapped out of it and came around, very leary of humans... On the 3rd or 4th day I noticed him chasing the other smaller animals, and thought to myself, "Aww how cute, he is settling down and playing finally" but he would stop after a couple of minutes...

Well, a few more days passed and rabbits started disappearing, so when I was on night shift I set in the parking lot in my truck and watched for a while as the "barnyard" was lit up, after a couple of nights watching this, I saw the hog get up and slowly walk over to one of the rabbits, the rabbit hopped a few times to avoid him, then the hog burst into a run and started chasing the rabbit, obviously the rabbit outran him... At first that is!!

The hog had more stamina than the rabbit and he simply did not give up until the rabbit ran into a corner and stopped at which time he grabbed it by the back and started to smash it into the ground with his snout, I hopped from the truck to stop it and as soon as I opened the truck door he stopped his attack and ran for the corral. When I picked the rabbit up, he had several gashes where the hog had ripped him with his tusks, so I had to destroy the rabbit. We butchered the hog at our next "special occasion BBQ/Cookout" and ate him.. But to answer your question, YES, hogs are predators!!
