Wildlife Technologies Might Atom

I have hunted with some friends over the years who used earlier models of the WT caller. To my ears it has the best sound of any call I ever heard. I am thinking of selling my three month old FoxPro Krakatoa call and getting a WT. As far as I can tell, only Wildlife Calls and APC sells the call.

On the WT site, it says the remote range is 200 to 500 yards. I've reached out to WT, APC and WC to get some feedback on the real world remote range but I have not gotten a response.

Does anyone know if I buy the call and the remote does not get the range advertised if I can return the call?

I have a mighty atom 15 and there is no possible way in [beeep] you would ever get even close to 100yds with their remotes. I have done tons and tons of sets and if I get much over 30 yards I'm holding my remote up in the air and waving it around trying to get the dam thing to work. If I could put the sounds from my wt on a foxpro I'd be a lot happier I think. I'm not sure if the cs 24 would have the clarity or volume of the wt but I bet the remote would work better and at low light I can't see the dam buttons either and I have to print up a chest sheet and tape it to the back of the caller so I can figure out what sound to play. But all that said I do like it I have called and killed a lot of yotes with it.

I said this in a previous post, regarding the MA-MAX, same applies to the MA... You are correct in sound quality, but when it comes to remote range, devildogg is correct...
You better find out if they take returns, if you plan on a consistent 100 yard remote to caller set up... Especially if you don't have a clear path to the caller...

Call Bill and tell him fox pro has a better remote:) make sure u have some time on your hands!!!!! I wish they would redesign the wt because it is an extremely loud clear call with some of the best sounds out there that and everybody runs a foxpro so it's a good thing to have something different. I can live with everything about the call except for the dam remote. Put a lighted display on it that tells u your sounds and make it work as advertised that's all I want. If u put it out and there is a blade of grass in the way it's not working.

elevating the caller seems to make the most difference in range for me (MA21). I prefer the keypad remote vs lcd when its cold or at night.

WT advertises the remote range on their site at 200 to 500 yards. If they would allow me to return the caller if it doesn't achieve their claim I would buy one.

My question on this is, IS the MAXX that much better than the ma-21 I have? What are the advantages over the new caller other than a tweeter added?

I am wanting to pull the trigger on the mighty atom MAXX next month, but is it really worth it?

Warranty from their Website..
"We offer a 15 day money back guarantee and a 2 year limited warranty"
When does the 15 days start? That right there would be a major concern to Me.

can you add an external antennae? i know with the spitfire i have there is a mod to get around 100 yards by soldering on an external antennae.

I have a MA-21 which replaced 2 FoxPro callers and would echo what most have stated already.

Having owned both brands when it comes to sound quality Wildlife is way better and my success rate doubled or trippled using the Ma-21 compared to FoxPro models. When it comes to the remote functions FoxPro's remote is way better than Wildlifes.

For the record I've never gotten 100 yards range out of either brands remote.
