I shoot hogs regularly with my S&W Model 29, using 240 grain JSP's. Several have been over 200 lbs. The farthest one has ever run is about 30 yards. Most are DRT. I think the key is using solids and not using hollowpoints.
If you're really concerned, get some of these babies, but it's probably overkill.
