winchester white box 45gr 22-250.

The 45gr in 223 have done fine for me on coyotes.
Within reasonable range that is. The 600+yard shot this morning resulted in a spinner that became a runner I didn't recover.

With my TC Pro Hunter 22-250 cal. I have not had any problems shooting Remington UMCs 50 gr JHP. They've done the job for me and are very inexpensive.

ok good to know. the 22-250 is new to me. taking it out for the first time tomorrow morning. i noticed the 45gr bullets shoot 3 inches high and 3 inches left of the winchester 55gr silvertips at 100 yards. guess I have to choose one and stick with it. I have 2 1/2 boxes of the 55gr rounds so I'll use them first and see how they do.

I used them alot before I started reloading and I still use them from time to time. I have kill alot of coyotes with them and alot of deer. Never had anything run more than 50 yards after being hit with them.

I shoot these quite a bit with Gonzaga and I have never had any problems with them. It's all about placement. Although I will concur that they are brutal on PD's, I distinctly remember blowing the bottom half off one and sending it Army crawling back to the hole.

My old 223 rifle has a slow twist and shoots these extremely well. Groups down to 0.4" since I free floated the barrel. 0.6" before.
These shoot 1" higher than Rem 55 gr sp ammo at 100 yards.
They do leave a pretty good exit hole when less than 100 yards though.

Killed 67 coyotes with the Winny white box,and have Never had a splash. Not fur friendly by any stretch of the imagination, it does a good job for me.

Shoot one Monday at 200yd with them he went about 30yd.I shoot a Howa 1500 it shoots 55 gr alittle better but the 45 gr shoots a 1" grop. Never had a runer with the 55 gr if i did my part.

I've tried every on-the-shelf shell you can find in Kansas for a 22-250. These winchester .45 grains not only group the best out of my savage, but I don't think I've ever even had a spinner on a coyote. I've probably shot 8-10 yotes in the past 2 years with them and they have gone right down. Ranging from 100 yds out to 250 yds.

They didn't group very well in a Rem 788 and a Rem 700 I tried them in. These were 22-250's. Plenty good for coyotes, just not very impressive if ya like seeing tiny groups on paper targets.

The .223's I've used them in were about the same.

Never had any problems with killing stuff with either of them. And with a good hit I never had big azz holes with the .223's. Can't say the same about the 22-250. Got pretty ugly even with good hits.
