Wind drift ?

I'm wondering what the wind drift would be for a few .243 bullets. 200 yard zero. 15 and 20 mph wind drift. If anyone has accesss to a ballistics program and can advise, thank you.

55 gr Nosler at 3800 fps muzzle
70 gr Nosler at 3325 fps muzzle
80 gr Nosler at 3150 fps muzzle.

Give me your elevation and your typical temp when shooting this. Also I need the distances you want the wind drift figures for.

Click on Norma link below, then click Ballistics button and US Ballistic button. Wairt for program to load and enter your data. Simple as that and you can play w/both full value and half value winds as well as trajectories.

Drift is the same regardless of the zero.
20 mph wind at 300 yards.
55 NBT 15.1"
70 grain 15.6"
80 grain NBT 15.6"

That's interesting. So time in flight compensates for bullet weight up to a point. Lighter-faster against heavier-slower. This I knew, but I was wondering when the formula for the slower-heavier surpassed the lighter-faster. It looks like it doesn't matter much out to 300 yards anyway. Thanks again.

YoteCallr, I've used JBM calculations for a few yrs now. They seem to be pretty close to field use on long shots in wind. From what I have experienced anyway. Not exact, from my experience's, but close enough.

Yotecallr, a couple yrs ago. I set up my target @ 440yrds. Wind was around 20 mph, with freguent gusts of 30 or so. Wind was cutting across my barrel @ roughly a 22 degree angle.

Wind pushed my 95Gr Win SBT, 14" down-wind. I adjusted into the wind. Et shot a 4.5", 5-shot group.

Good shooting Kirby!

Hmmm? Works for me. It is slow downloading the actual ballistic calculator when you click on US Ballistic button; a small window opens in upper left corner of monitor stating downloading program or something to that affect. Sometimes it drops it on the toolbar other times the page appears on screen.
