Any of you guys have the windham weaponry varmint exterminator AR15? I bought one and haven't really been able to test it out much yet. I'd like to hear your opinions

I don't have that particular model but I have the 16 inch barrel version and it is been really nice. imo it is extremely accurate for what it is. I did notice a big difference in accuracy between brands of brass. the federal gave me a 4 shot group of 1.750", winchester produced 1.250" and lapua produced .875" at 100 yards. and that was with the factory trigger which lands at about 8 pounds. this was with a 2-8x burris scope from a bench. the load i landed on was a stiff load of varget with Fed.GM primer and a 60gr. Sierra HP Varminter. I do plan on upgrading my trigger to the hyper fire model. and loose the fore end for a free float tube. hopefully my accuracy will improve even more

I had one that shot 1/4 groups at 100 Yd 5 shoots. It was a good bench gun to heavy for a 74 old fart. I am thinking of getting a upper from them in a 16 in with 1/8 twist The other was a 1/7 twist.

Yeah im pretty excited about it the only downfall is the weight of the gun when you have a scope and a full magazine in it. But i guess the weight is kind of expected when you have a 20 in barrel. I think it will be worth it though with the added accuracy and range! Plus the snow camo looks sweet!

I have one that is incredibly accurate. I use 25 gr.of Benchmark with a 50 gr. Vmax bullet and get around .3 groups at 100 yards. My 5 shot groups at 300 yards are around 1 inch. I can't explain why the 1-8 twist barrel likes 50 grain bullets, but it does. I put a Magpul PRS stock on it and a Geissele High speed National Match trigger in it and have a 8-32x Burris scope on it. I also have a Harris bipod on it so the rifle is a tank weighing in right at 13 pounds. The rifle is so easy to shoot well, especially with the second stage of the trigger breaking at around 8 ounces.

Yeah I would like to put a lighter trigger in mine as well. Right now I have a monarch 3 5x20x44 scope on it I haven't mounted a bipod on it yet.

Just went to an indoor range and I was shooting several three shot groups within a half inch. I'm very impressed with the precision of this ar
