About 6 weeks ago I purchased a box of the 30 gr Gold. I've only had time to do some initial load development and the jury is still out. I will say that they do not seem to be finished as nicely as Berger's are. In fact a number of them have quite a bit of blemishes. I'm using load data from Hodgdon for the 30gr Berger target bullets as Todd did not have any load data. The huge boat tail may be an issue affecting Standard Deviation which may not be an issue in so far as accuracy is concerned.

17freak, any updates? whats the cost for them? everyone speaks so highly of them, I have used them on fox and coyotes as well as coons. they are hard to come by

Yes they are expensive, you pay top dollar for them plus shipping. I've shot a several different weights of his bullets and I can only say they were ok at best. Which is good because I don't care for Todd's superiority complex anyways. So all three give me a reason to shoot something else.

I hadn't heard that Berger quit making the 30 grain bullets can anyone verify this?

Rob, I don't know about long term, but I've read they are done for now. The don't want to "waste" jackets on lesser selling bullets. Not making any 17 cals.

Yes unfortunately for now this is the discontinued .17 cal list from their website

Part Number Description
