Nice video, I was tring to figure out if it would work all that well. I hunt with Yellerdog and he uses a rabbit that the head spins on which seems to work pretty well. How long does the battery lat for on the woodpecker. Any how nice video.

Creep
The battery lasts about 1.5 to 2 hrs the nice thing about
this decoy is you can clip it high in a tree so the critters
can see it from far away instead of having to be on top of
the decoy to see it.

Yea there were 3 one went right two went left.
The last one on the left almost flips over when
the one comes at him its prety hard to see on the
small video but cool

I was using a Johnny Stewart squealing bird call.
I think is one of the very best wounded bird sounds
you can buy anywhere! I found it in Readhead mag.

Thanks, I recognized the sound. That CT116A Squealing Bird (Ladderback Woodpecker) sound is one of my most favorite sounds. My interest was to try and find out if that was a sound provided on a caller you bought or if it was something you bought and used on a caller you already had. I am thrilled that it works so well for you but not at all surprised. I am also very interested in the Decoy. That is a great idea. Where can I buy one of those?

I got one of the whirling woodpecker decoys recently, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet "to hot here in AZ". I hope it helps call in gray fox. See alot of fox sign but haven't been able to call'en in.

Grey fox are one of the easiest predators to call in with
the woodpecker decoy. We called in two in about 60 sec
one jumped five feet into the tree and took off with the decoy. I learned to put it a few feet higher.
Just a couple of months and you will be nocken down!
