X24 vs X-wave by FoxPro

First post here, looking to upgrade my electronic call, i'm between the x24 and the Xwave. Ive found both of them for the same price so price is not as important of a factor.
For reference, I hunt in eastern Colorado and it can be very windy and very big open county.

Any experience/opinion with one versus the other would be helpful.

X24 just for the portability of it. By the time you have sticks, rifle, seat, and whatever packing something like an X-wave would be beyond me. Would the extra weight, bulk and cost put that many more pelts on the boards/kills. Now night hunting or hunting from a high seat on a truck where portability is not a concern the X-wave might be for you.

I love my X24, but if I was in the market for a new FoxPro call, I think I'd try to get into an X48. One feature that I don't understand why it took them so long to offer is you can see the battery power level in the remote, and has a built in scale. Neither of which are going to aid in calling coyotes, but nice features IMO.

I really like having two speakers that I can point in two different directions. For many years I used the FX5 with the SP-55 external speaker. I even used the SP-55 speaker with my old Prairie Blaster.

I have also had great results with the Shockwave and X-Wave that have two different speakers that I can adjust the direction that they are pointed.

Now I am using a X-24 along with a SP-XHD external speaker. This combo is louder than my X-Wave. I am pretty sure that Foxpro is no longer making the X-Wave caller. My X-24 and SP-XHD speaker fit in about the same size camo bag as the X-Wave

In big open country having two speakers that you can point in the directions that you want them pointed definitely spreads the sound out into more country than a single speaker will.

In the above picture you can see how we had the X-24 and SP-XHD speaker pointed when Crystal killed this big male coyote.

On flat ground it may not be as important to spread the sound out like it is calling off of ridge tops and trying to get the sound down into more than one canyon.

I own an X-24 after upgrading from the FP Inferno. It's a great caller. I use a long lanyard and am able to sling it across my chest when going out night hunting. It can get really loud for those windy nights when I need some extra volume to fight the wind. The TX1000 remote is also pretty great. You can adjust the color a bit and intensity for when you are night hunting and the Foxcast feature is pretty cool. It allows me to focus more on scanning and less on fumbling with the remote in the dark. Additionally mine came with the rechargeable battery pack that holds a charge for a long time. Overall, I've been very pleased with my X-24. I can't speak to the X-wave as I have never used one. Hope this helps and happy hunting.
