We were married on opening day of deer season. Every year, my wife asks what we are doing for our anniversary, getting the same response. "Going hunting, wanna go?", to which she mumbles,"I don't know how I managed to get you away from hunting to get married." I just can't resist so reply, "Didn't have a deer lease that year".
Did I mention, my wife is a saint.....she's put up with me for 69 years! Oh, and she didn't ever take up hunting but did love to "camp out" in the travel trailer.

Yep. My wife (then fiancé) planned our wedding for late April so it didn't conflict with major hunting seasons (I'm not much of a turkey hunter).
