Any info on this scope from users on here?? Does it have zero stop? For the price is there a better scope?(5-25x50 about 1250$)
Thank you. Dan

Awesome glass. Zero stop works ok but doesn't allow for a full rotation up. Meaning you'll never get to 1000 yards with this scope. Zero stop can be removed to allow turrets to turn past about 18moa. Reticle is personal preference. Haven't found any problems with tracking. I think your price is high. I found a slightly used one for 800. Because of the 1"tube it's pretty light for what it is . The locking turrets take a little getting used to but not a big deal.

More so for a dedicated rifle scope to check other rifles accuracy and load work ups.. And some long range playing around..
I want a scope that when zoom in 100 yards I can really see that little 1 inch square/circle .. I can do ok with my 12 power but it takes more concentration trying to keep dead center if you what I mean.. If I could bring the target in closer I think it would be much easier finding the center of the target..

I always find it easier to shoot for corners than trying to center it on a 1" dot !!

Or use targets with 1/4" squares !!! Good glass makes a BIG difference also, not more power..

I still need to see the corners.. My eyes are not what use to be... But I will remember that though.. Thank you... Dan

I have one with a plex reticle and target turrets. They sent it to me in replacement for a warranty problem. I love it, and it does have zero stop, and I got around the 1 revolution thing by shortening the zero stop peg a little bit.

I have a 3 x 15 on a 17 WSM and think it is a great scope. I've been slowly selling my leupolds on all of my rifles and changing to either Zeiss or Leica

I'm putting one of these on a CZ 527 17 Hornet but I can't decide between the 3-15x42 or the 5-25x50.

Open to suggestions and opinions, what do you all think, which one do you think I should go with????

I like the slimmer lower profile look myself and on the low to medium power levels I don't notice much difference but when you start cranking the magnification up is when I see the difference and to me, the 50 is just a brighter scope on the higher power settings.

Tonight I mocked up a 50mm scope I had on the shelf that's going on a different gun and with the DIP Inc. rail and some low rings it wasn't to bad looking but it was borderline for me with regard to cheek weld. The scope was pretty low, maybe 1/4 inch off the barrel but the 527 doesn't have an overly tall comb height and I had to slightly lift up to get full view through the scope.

It's looking like I'll be going with the 3-15x42, no rail and the lowest rings I can use and still clear the barrel with the scope.

I think you'll be happy with the 3-15x42.

If you're not opposed to buying used there are some good deals out there in the classified sections.

i have never looked through a zeiss what would you compare them to i have begun to really like burris and stainers over just about all my other scopes i do want one night force for my 243
