Zeiss Terra scope

Looked at them while looking for more 3-9 Zeiss Conquests. They were listed at roughly the same as what the conquests used to list for. However, they felt like a prostaff rimfire not a Zeiss scope. No thank you for me. If I could find the old Conquests for (correction) $250 I'd buy 5x of them.

Edit note: looks like Euro optics still sells them for $329. Originally got mine in a cabelas clearance for $250, but haven't seen them much since then. I haven't found a better 3-9 for that money.

I wouldnt buy any Zeiss Conquest. My Conquest 3.5-10x44 has been in the repair depot 2 x this year. I havent been able to use it for 6 month months and counting. Not happy.

I use the 4-12x42 Terra on my 17HMR and have been very happy with it. Got it as an open box model from CameraLand ($369.99). It was in perfect condition. Sent the rebate form in and they honored it, giving me $50.00 back so it was $319.99.

I had a 4x12 Terra on a .257 Weatherby Vanguard. I liked it and thought it was a good scope. The glass was good, adjustments were accurate and repeatable, and it always held zero. I wish I'd kept it and sold my Nikon Monarch instead.

Mine was brand new, first time something was rolling around in the tube, sounded like a small BB pellet, they fixed that. My latest issues was after 6 shots from my .270 I had all the internal move around inside the scope, still waiting for it to be sent back to me.
From my reading on the net and talking with other owners I wouldnt touch another Zeiss Conquest again...they have alot of issues. The glass is very clear but thats where the good ends.
Wait times for Canadians are 6 months a fix...Leupold and Vortex are 2 weeks,,I will never buy another Zeiss.

Sorry to hear that. thats the first I heard about those problems. I can imagine that you're no fan of the Terra either, I really felt that the Terra's were a step down from the conquests.
