hey fellas, i am not a big fan of closed reed calls but, the advertising has got me thinking about this one (Zepps Rattler) has any of yal had any dealings with this call good or bad? Thanks, Brad

Brad,

Well yes, sorta. Although I don't have at the present time a Zepp Rattler I have ever intention to get one. Several years ago met Mark Zepp and we talked about coyote hunting and our experiences. If first impressions mean anything I believe Mark is a great guy. He has a passion for callng coyotes and has vast knowledge about coyotes. He is someone I would do business with and would even like to hunt with sometime. I've seen and heard the Rattler in action from Marks new video Callin' Coyotes with Mark Zepp and some of his friends. The Rattler has the sound qualities that I look for in a call and I'm sure once I get one it will be a coyote calling machine. I have seen prototypes of the calls Mark is selling. Eddie Hawkins, Marks hunting partner, showed us the calls prior to their release for sale. He also gave a little calling sequence with the calls in the parking lot, which got responses from the local dogs. I believe Mark makes quality products, both calls and video. I have the video and reccommend it highly and I expect the same quality from the calls.

I have Zepps 1080 call. Very nice, and called in 3 yotes the first time I used it. It too is a quality call. His video is great too..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

awhile back i bought mark zepps dvd and the three calls that he makes. the one that has called in the most is the 1080. what a good call. the best thing about this call is the notched reed, it can't shift and the tone board is the right width and angle. good guys can blow any call (th). but i like a call that any one can use. and this is the open reed call to rely on. plus he gives you 2 different reeds.

hello, was at the sporting goods store today looking over the calls like i really need another one ? anyway there was the zepp rattler, could'nt resist so i bought it. played with it in the pickup on way home very loud !! it has two reeds & voice channels. hope to try it this weekend. seems like a quality call. good luck...dave
