Just picked it up but haven't had time to shoot it yet.

Gun minus scope comes at 6#.
Topped it with a Burris XTRII 1-8

Nice! I've been wanting to get a 308 as well. I was looking at Rock River Arms this morning. They have what they call the X-Series with an 18" barrel. Just a matter of when I can pull the trigger, so to speak...

Have you considered building one? They are quite easy to assemble with just a few tools.

That way, you can slowly acquire the parts you like w/o spending a lot of money at one time.

Very nice setup @crapshoot .
I Don't have anything in the stable in the AR-10 platform currently. usually when it comes to the .473 bolt face I usually lean toward a bolt action. Not for any reason except I just do. That setup should be very capable, not to mention capable for a caliber change in differing pursuits. Nice just nice.

A 30 TC... huh, I could see doing that. For a reason or two.
1. one doesn't see that offering in that format and chambering.
2. it is a little bit shorter not much, but enough to allow a bit more seating out of the neck with the bullet.
Interesting thought.

I've built 7 AR's over the years, so yes building an AR10 is something I've thought about. I might do it.

I don’t have anything that nice, but the Ruger SFAR is my go to hog killer. 110gr Varmegeddons will wreck both hogs and coyotes.

6.8lbs…still right under 10 with scope, suppressor, and magazine. My DPMS was over 13lbs, lol. I understand to some that weight isn’t a factor, but when I have to carry it 300-400+ yards to sneak in on hogs or to setup for coyotes, extra weight is extra weight. Add tripod, caller, etc…it gets me sweating pretty good.
