Revisiting this for a short minute, after posting on the Burris rings, this post and other posting. Which I wound up dismounting again to verify my mounting techniques.
I had thought that this was a 1/8" @ 100 yards click target configuration, simply because of the target turrets. Which the enclosed manual says for the target and regular version only have 30" elevation (limitations of the 1" tube and erector choice I suppose) . So while I had the scope out of the rings I decided to place it in mechanical zero by counting clicks and divide by two, before shooting to see if these rings would do better than the Leupold rifleman rings I used when I ran out of elevation.
102 clicks huh ok so, if my math is correct that should be the 1/4" click (30"x4=120 clicks, if it was the 1/8 version should have been 240 clicks) so I can assume it's the 1/4' not the 1/8" target version. Then I decided to pull the top cap in order to reset the dial correctly.
At this point I observed what this actually is, was their offering to put target knobs on the hunter knobs. Still I'm not messed up (mad at it), what I did observe when I went to bottom the reticle is that it really got hard to distinguish clicks. So my count maybe off a bit, I don't think it would be 18 clicks but then again the word think comes into play.
I'll probably wait on the inserts from
@hm1996 (again Thank you Sir) to reattempt a zero. Bottom line is it's now reset to mechanical zero or as most would say "centered".
From this point I'm fairly certain a solid 75 yd zero without maxing out the elevation for this scope with the 22LR cartridge can be obtained.
At that point I'll stop bothering all of you fine Gentlemen about a silly little 22lr, and my pursuit of a light short range gopher killer.
At which point I'll shift tinkering to either the re-barreling a Savage project or do load work on the Rem 700 in the 6.5 Creed caliber. I'm leaning toward the load work on the Creed.
But a sincere thank you to all whom has put up, by reading and / or posting with my posting of the 22LR venture covering two rifles.
