Slo-mo Quail Rise

Walking to my stand this morning I spotted some quail on the feed trail. I figured a slo-mo video would be a cool capture!!

They seem that way when I shoot these videos. I was looking at hunts from last year and it looks like they’re shooting prairie chickens, lol.

That's cool! Haven't seen a quail up our way in 40 years!

Sure brought back memories. I too have not seen a covey rise since the mid 70's. I mainly hunted grouse but there where 2 properties within 20 miles that had some wild quail that I would train young dogs on.

Even a "slo-mo" quail rise is pretty dang fast
