Predator hunter killed in Lunenburg County Va. Monday night

I had a very abusive father and went through 33 years of my life harboring hatred, resentment and unforgiveness. After a series of events involving the loss of a very close friend's 8 yr. old daughter and time spent pondering the time I had wasted thinking about how I could "get even" with my father, I had a life changing event, I accepted the plan of God to accept salvation made possible by the death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ. Things I had thought were impossible to reconcile, while not immediate, began to happen and while I'm not "fully there" burdens I carried for too long began to fall away as I studied and am trying to be faithful to the word of God. God will make a way when there seems to be no way.

Awesome!

Forgiveness is godly, thankfully we have a societal system to handle criminal/civil wrongs against individuals (courts, judges and jury). I expect the system to protect me from repeat offenders of wrongful acts by punishment, completely different than forgiveness. I'll do my best to protect myself and others during a crime, in the best possible way for society.

Anyone else read the first couple posts, and see how old the thread is, and then jump to the last page and read the last couple posts, and go, “huh” ?

Did you read the recently updated post of how this “accident” case is progressing?

Did you see where the shooter of the guy that died had been drinking and shot across a road?

Does it bother you that this brings up pretty strong emotions and opinions that continue to be valid talking points?

To answer you… Yes. It does make me go “Huh?” Just for reasons other than you are implying.

Investigations take time, statements(sworn), evidence collection and processing, lab work(DNA) and firearms testing. Often these are processed in the order they are received. In many states, counties have to submit items for testing to state labs. There are evidence procedures that must be followed when items are transferred/returned and stored in multiple locations. The accused may also delay court appearances (if they believe it is to their advantage) the right to a speedy trial is on the defendants side as is the right to face their accuser (in this case the state).

He wae released on bond but now has hadbond revoked and is on house arrest for having ETOH on first day of gun hunting!
Assuming this is correct, I completely agree that it’s not a show of remorse. It is a show of what this guy really is. An extremely irresponsible person that shouldn’t be in possession of a firearm. He’s a disgrace to hunters! It’s also disturbing that this waste was even able to gun hunt after killing a man!

Again, assuming the statement above is factual.

The charges doesn't state he was hunting just charged on first day of Gun hunting season! He appears in court Dec. 6th, Still sounds fishy to me cause I was always under the impression the if you broke bond you fortiet the money and STAY in jail, but I guess money can buy freedom!
