Tried my hand at hydro-dipping!

My son wanted his shotgun camo'd so I looked into it. They wanted a lot of money for one gun so I figured I'd give it a go and save a few bucks. Might as well do my rifle as well while I was at it. After watching a bunch of YT videos and consulting with a material supplier I bought the supplies and the films and went at it! I was more than happy with the results....oh, and as it turns out the price quoted by the professional shop is more than justified after doing the work myself. It's messy, smelly and rather technical to get it right in one dip.

That looks great! I’ve been contemplating hydro dipping vs just spray painting. What kit did you use?

What kit did you use?

I got it from Badass Custom Coatings. They sell kits but it comes with gloss clear so you need to special request matte.
