The seasonal smokepole hunt ended in NY state so we were given the green light to hunt some properties.
Snow, ice and more snow made traveling around the fields very dicey and it's even worse while being injured.
Then add the wolf moon to the mix.
So we had three dogs coming in from two directions on the first stand and I had to move positions to get on the closet dog.
All set up, put some weight on the tripod to steady for the shot and the right side tripod leg broke through the crust of the snow as I was pulling the trigger.
Sum Bitch.
Didn't hear or see anything but fox the rest of the night at three different stands.
Video is from 1/3 and sorry for the foul language at the end.

That sucks man! Murphy’s Law and coyote hunting go hand in hand buddy.
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong!

Like when your knee is shot, but ice and snow makes walking suck.

Tripod is stable, until the trigger is breaking.

Your choice of expletive is very common in coyote hunting as well.

You have come to the right place. Here at Coyote Hunter’s Anonymous, a.k.a. Predator Masters, we’re here to help you through this. Stay strong my friend. You are not alone in this terrible addiction.

My name is Bob, I am a coyote hunter. 🤣

I can sympathize with your plight. Something is always going sideways in my coyote hunts. The adrenaline surge when you see them coming in will keep you addicted though. Keep hanging tough, you'll connect eventually.
Ha! Just a little FYI, Lazer32… Shoots isn’t a stranger to killing coyotes. He knows what he’s doing. He will for sure connect on more.

Missing gets harder to handle the more experienced we get. You’re a relative newcomer if memory serves me correctly. You still have more excuses to burn through! Lol… Choose them wisely! 🤣

Been there, pretty sure I've said the same🙄🤣

Thanks to this site, I double and triple check everything every time when heading out on a stand. I don’t get many opportunities so when it happens I want to make sure it’s not something I’ve done to blow an opportunity!! Plus I’ll add I try and learn from my mistakes. Even hoping to prevent future ones, 😂

I definitely could save myself some grief if I followed this advice.
