Interesting Camo Option | Invisibility (to wildlife)

Your thinking of canned bacon, wasn't that the attractor of choice 15 years ago.

In all seriousness, if you spend enough time at this hunting thing you will have close encounters with game and there is no explanation, standing in the open I've had deer walk close enough to touch with my gun barrel, shot a nice buck at 8 ft, killed a coyote at one long pace, had them jump over my legs. It is what makes this so much fun. Killing a coyote at distance is as interesting to me as punching holes in paper, killing one at my shoelaces is a rush. When you can see the "Oh Sh-t" look on their face when they realize you are the predator and not the prey, makes coyote hunting one of the best hunting there is.
Turkey hunting in Kansas one year we had a coyote come in. I started lip squeaking and it’s now coming in on a run. My son, who was about 15 at the time was sitting beside me and I’m thinking he’s going to shoot it…he’s thinking I’m going to shoot it!! That dang coyote had done crossed the threshold of either of us moving out of the way and we both mounted our shotguns at the same time and miraculously fired at the same time. That joker fell on my outstretched legs!!
Now mind you, there wasn’t anything masculine about either of us after the shot, 😂 We shot and was still trying to get the heck out of there!! It took a good 5 minutes or so before we could laugh about it while blaming each other for that predicament!!!

I had a coyote run into me going full blast. Hit me on my blind side, never saw it coming. Just suddenly got knocked sideways off my seat and had a coyotes ass full in my face. It left claw scratches on my chest, through my thick winter coat, using me for traction to exit stage left. I jumped up screaming. Somehow, I collected myself to dump it with my shotgun at about 25 yards. It was a great morning. Very next stand I got two singles with my shotgun. I was sitting just to the side and in front of the caller. Second one that came in, had left the ground to hit the caller and I reached out from the hip and held the muzzle of my shotgun about six inches from it and blasted it while it was in midair jumping to bite the caller.

Fun, fun, fun.

Check out Hunting Camo & Apparel | Experience the HECs Difference if you have not already. Their claim is that their camo makes you invisible to wildlife due to the ability to block the human electronic signature. To be honest, I don't wear mine as often as I should. Probably my hunting mistake and I make a ton them. But, I did have the full suite on one night and walked up to a couple of hogs, got as close as 20 yards away before they reacted to me. I believe my fat feet gave me away. I was impressed.
this reminds me of scent lock suits. I had a buddy that was huge into being decked out in full scent lock. this was like 20 years ago and that stuff cost $100's I laughed and said well if it's scent lock. why can I smell my fart if I wear it? he was pretty disappointed about that notion.

I’m friends with a guy that just bought one of these HECS suits…He’s a good hunter, so waiting to see how it works for him. He doesn’t do much stalking, mostly hunting out of a blind. He’s excited about it, but I refrained from commenting on his post on Facebook. I won’t be buying any even if he does seem to have success with it.
I am guilty of buying Scentlok many years ago. Had a lot more success with stand placement and paying attention to the wind than anything else. I do have Sitka Gear, but bought that for quality, comfort and warmth, also because it should last me until I’m in the ground. I bought everything on Sale or Closeout..no way I’d pay retail for it.

I know someone who has this stuff and is even one of their "pro staff" or whatever they call it. He has another camo sponsor as well. When I quizzed him about it he said the hecs even works underneath the other camo he has 🤣
All I can say is when coyotes see him they still run away despite him wearing his supposed invisibility suit 😂
